"As first home buyers we wanted to achieve a larger living space on a limited budget. Palomar Designs helped us create a large open living area. Palomar assisted with project management during the build and worked with us afterwards to assist with the purchasing of furnishing and light fixtures and provided support at time of installation.

My terrace in Newtown looked like a movie set once Palomar Designs had weaved its magic. In fact it was used as a set for a national Television Commercial - perhaps no surprise given Nicky's previous role as a leading Art Director for Feature Film and TV.
I used Nicky's services on two occasions - first a funky full kitchen, bathroom and household furniture renovation (new floors, built in wardrobes etc) which was the best-looking and most-talked about renovation of any of my peers and colleagues at work. And then subsequently to restyle the house for resale.
The restyling for sale was also great success. Having failed at auction in a down market, Nicky and her team restyled the whole house and garden. I put it up for sale twelve months later and it sold to first buyer to inspect before even being advertised at 15% premium to the highest bid at auction a year earlier.
Nicky's professional attitude and organised approach made working with her and her contractors a delight.

"Palomar Designs has recently completed a soft refurbishment of our home. This is the second time that I have enlisted the services of this design company, and what a wonderful job they have done on both occasions.
The first project that they undertook for us was choosing all finishes and furnishings on the complete renovation of our home. We were over the moon with the result!
The second project that Palomar Designs completed for us was an update of furniture and soft furnishings. We wanted a fresh new look for the rear of the house, and what a great result.

"Nicky of Palomar Designs has helped us with two house projects this year with great results. The first project was to style our home of 34 years to be ready for sale.
Nicky was efficient and decisive in selecting and rearranging our existing furniture and ornaments as well as helping me shop for a few new elements (with a view to how they would work in our new home) to add an extra flourish to the overall look. As a result the house looked fresh, inviting and impressively stylish. The sale went well and we engaged Nicky to help make our new home more lovely and liveable.
We had bought two small apartments in the same building , one for me and my husband and one downstairs for our two children, one of whom is still at school.
Both the apartments had been rental properties, there was little to no storage and a lot of the finishes were bland and not to our taste.
With Nicky's assistance and industry contacts we replaced a tile floor with an oak floating floor, built four wardrobes one that also is a feature timber wall for the master bedroom, replaced blinds, rearranged and replaced lights.
Nicky designed the wardrobes in consultation with us and liaised with the cabinet makers and oversaw the quality of the work. This was her approach with all the contractors she engaged on our behalf, always making sure all the work was finished to the highest standard. In a short time our apartments have been made infinitely more habitable and a pleasure to be in, thanks to Nicky's flare and professionalism . We are continuing to work with Nicky on the next phase of our refurbishment - designing and building cabinets and a window seat for our living and dining area."
